The X-Files movie has a release date - 2007-11-01
The movie version of “The X-Files” will arrive to theaters on July 25, 2008, according to Fox announcement. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will play the same characters as well as show creator, Chris Carter, reads the Hollywood Reporter. Filming is set to start this December. Meanwhile, Gillian has singed on to star in Kfir Yefet movie The Smell of Apples, reports Variety. The film is a drama set in South Africa during the '70s, based on Mark Behr's book.

Gillian Anderson found complicated to stop her clothes from falling off while shooting a sexy scene in forthcoming movie “Straightheads.” The actress, who co-stars the film with British actor Danny Dyer, confesses the struggles she underwent to hide her modesty during the steamy footage. .Gillian said, "I had to have two tapes on my side. But because it was so cold, the tape wasn't working, and my dress kept peeling off too soon "My lover's job was to cover the tape while we were in the middle of pretending to have sex. It wasn't easy."
Gillian to be part of the X-Files movie sequence - 2007-08-14
Gillian Anderson will play Dana Scully again in the sequence of hit TV series'The X files'. Filming will start later this year and is scheduled for a summer release. Her co-star David Duchovny tells the Daily Express, "Gillian is on board and I'm on board. It's November for a summer release”. The movie’s plot hasn’t been revealed yet. In 1998, the series produced a motion picture, The X-Files, also titled as The X Files: Fight the Future.

The former Special Agent Dana Scully has fuelled rumours of possible sequel to the first movie. As regards whether or not she enjoyed working on the sci-fi show Anderson says:"Did I hate it? At times yes. Did I love it? At times yes.Did I regret it or do I regret it now? Not for a second. Did David and I hate each other? At times yes like any brother and sister, husband and wife, co-worker and co-worker forced to spend that much time together under such strenuous circumstances.Do we hate each other now? Not in the least."

Gillian, pronounced Jill'-ee-un,was born on August 9, 1968 in
Chicago, IL, to Ed and Rosemary Anderson and is one of 3
children. She lived in Puerto Rico, and then in London, so her
father could attend a film school there (Her family still owns a
flat there).At age 11 she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where
she attended elementary and then high school. She then moved to
Chicago where she went to college and once she had gained her
BFA she then moved to New York, N.Y.
